I hope you like the new look. If you have any feedback, please send an email to

The calendar had been updated for the many changes that organisers have been making, please take a look and check your options. We do our best to keep up with what's going on but it's always a good idea to check their own sites or FaceBook groups.

Holiday time: - as usual I'll do my best to get the calendar up to date before I go away. Most classes close for a period in August so it's worth checking with the organiser.

Margarets Milonga (14th August)
Everyone is welcome to attend this event. It's free but please bring a small plate of food for the buffet.

Halo Cafe Milonga (CLOSED)
Regular dancers and visitors to the area will be sad to hear that Paul and Maureen have decided that the Milonga on Sunday 3rd July was their last one. This was a favourite for many people and provided a lovely relaxing and social place to end the weekend. I'm sure that I speak for many when I thank them for more than 8 years of dedication to running this event.

Visiting Teachers (Bristol area)

Tango Mango (Devon): 11 to 21st August for musicians and dancers, classes and all day dancing.

What is Argentine Tango?

Argentine tango is a partner dance that sprang up spontaneously from the immigrant population of Buenos Aires in the late 19th century.

What defines Argentine tango is the music and the passion.  Without the music there is no Argentine tango.  Without the passion, the dance is not Argentine tango.

The music is a distinct mixture of rhythm, melancholy and passion. Argentine tango music stirs up all the feelings your have inside your soul.

The dance is an expression of these deep feelings.
